Erika Solis

As a doctoral candidate at Penn State, Erika's research broadly explores Internet policy, children's online usage, and the video game industry. Their interests take critical-cultural perspectives on the current children's privacy landscape and problems within the video game industry. They've presented 12+ research projects at multiple conferences, including ICA, NCA, and TPRC. 

Erika has remained active in the DC think-tank space. They were previously a Google Public Policy Fellow at New America's Open Technology Institute and a summer fellow at Ranking Digital Rights. Additionally, they were a remote contractor at the Future for Privacy Forum.

With 4 years of experience as an instructor and teaching assistant, Erika an instructor at Penn State University, Gwynedd Mercy University, and Union College of New Jersey.
