As a Google Public Policy Fellow, I worked on privacy oriented qualitative research to assist in analyzing platform accountability. My work would contribute towards a public policy report on age verification and a public scholarship piece on AI mental health application, as well as an internal report on CSAM standards.
As a remote contractor, I focused on analyzing youth educational website’s privacy policy to determine if they were eligible to be a part of the FPF’s Student Privacy Pledge network. In partnership with the Aspen Institute, I worked with a team to create a legal database on child welfare and student privacy by reviewing state and tribal legislative materials.
As a COMPASS Summer Policy Fellow, I primarily assisted in creating an extensive literature review of ongoing RDR research on X (formally Twitter) and Meta privacy and advertising policies. My role also consisted of tracking news and policy discussion relevant to RDR’s issue areas at that time period.
